I would be in a much better position to carry things out right now if I had never met Muhammad and lost around $1,600 to him.

Recently, Adebiyi had charged me $1,500 for such an epic fanfic as Goro's, with others offering to do it for at least half as much, and even though posting several times for all games I want modded instead of just the few priority ones has proven somewhat more successful in attracting people, they are still charging way more than I can feasibly agree to. Even Starbound does not seem likely to get very far, even if I were to write both the other things off. I have spoken several times to Mom about everyone chipping in to help me recuperate my money for my birthday, but along with that having already been done for a new laptop for Christmas, this is a particularly bad year for that, with Brian and Emily having a baby next month, and Marie and Drew renting us a vacation home for next summer.

The last I brought it up just two days ago, Mom mentioned the idea of me looking for a part-time job, and I started by bookmarking as many different places to apply to as I could think of when we got back home from the gym. Yesterday, I applied for a Japanese-to-English translation gig on Upwork, started over with Wanikani for the first time in more than a year, and started re-reading Japanese the Manga Way, and then the two of us looked at Brookhaven Township and Friendly's to start with.

Later on, Mom invited me to Meat Farms with her, and I took then to continue playing the lottery for the first time in a while, starting with a ten-spot QuickDraw ticket.

We then went over to Savers, and Mom suggested I go over to a new IHOP opening up and take a picture of any instructions there on how to apply. There weren't any posted, but even though the establishment itself is still under preparations, I was able just to walk inside and request a form to fill out.

This morning, though, I have come across several articles stating that applying online is not even worth it. I have sent Mom an email asking if we should try our luck with another employment agency, seeing how much better the economy is than those few years after I finished college, especially with the pandemic already over.
