Remembered after yesterday's entry that what led me to research redirect viruses last Thursday was a redirect from Bing back to Google.
Currently, I am using Google again, but now on Microsoft Edge since Chrome refused several times to open for me yesterday.
Still faced one redirect to Bing, but was not able to replicate it this time. In case it happens again, though, Mom and I did seem to have solved it on Friday, before I'd reinstall Windows the next morning.

Found out several days in advance, of this year's Mother Direct premiering at 6 on Thursday. Decided I might as well watch it live, and arranged originally with Mom to have dinner ready for me at 7 when it would be over, but she eventually decided instead just to bring it up to me on a tray.
If there is one reason I suspect to not have seen one particular EB clone with its demo recently released, The Backworld, it could be that one hour isn't enough time to showcase every current Mother-like project for a given year, including some that were already showcased the year prior. This leaves me to wonder if I'd have to compete for a spot for Starbound whenever I actually have enough of that set up to even bother.

With that reboot coming up, I had decided then to take a cue to put up a new wallpaper, just to replace the generic one that Windows 10 comes with. Ultimately decided on my old pic of Misao that I previously used for my old laptop.
While I was at it, I also decided to change my phone wallpaper to one shot of Kanata and Haruka during the ep. 18 credits of Little Busters!

While driving me to work two days ago, Mom told me about some dream she had, where I had lit the kitchen on fire by using this pasta called zucco (almost resembling little cupcake containers) into the stove, filled with some kind of cake batter or something, and then dumping all the burnt pieces into the garbage. She found out by coming out of her room to retrieve some paper towels for some cat shit, and saw the fire peeling the paint off the cabinets and stuff.
Pretty sure I would more likely put such hot items outside, but Mom chalks it up to some program she and Dad watched about people who live in canalboats somewhere, and some kind of sheet they keep around in case there is a fire.

During my shift, I had a pretty big doordash order, and managed the pick itself normally enough. A glitch proceeded to ruin everything when it came time to stage everything.
Like, as soon as I scanned a spot to put everything, the button simply went black, and I was not able to do anything with the scanner, or even several other scanners as we spent the next hour troubleshooting with José. The actual customer arrived, but we still had to follow company policy and stage everything first. By the time we sorted through it, he was long gone.
After having my 15-minute break for the day, I met José in the receiving bay, and asked if, from now on, we can skip staging items for anyone already here. He told me he already had brought it up before with those in charge of the technology. (I did make sure, though, that such an incident would not count against my review.)

Whether due to another virus or a connection problem, I noticed my speakers to be softer than usual. They still work, but it was here, where even at the 10:30 position (min 7:00, max 5:00), you should hear music instead of just a voiceover, where I first discovered it last night.
Spent some time this morning troubleshooting, and ended up downloading a program called FxSound and moving all its vertical knobs all the way up. That actually seems to have solved things well enough for once.
