Jan. 27th, 2024 06:08 amMom got me these small rubber-and-leather boots two days ago, to wear when it's raining at work. They felt comfortable enough on their own, but still got soaked through yesterday, as did my supposedly waterproof gloves.
(Someone asked me at the beginning of my shift to help her return a four-piece recliner, and tipped me $5 for that.)
Mom and I concluded after my shift that those boots and gloves might've actually been meant for snow, although the gloves still do make it more comfortable than my bare hands to grip the carts with.
This morning, I woke up to an email she sent last night, linking to a pair of all-rubber boots for the rain, and I think I might agree to try those on after my shift, before we leave the store.
