Feb. 4th, 2024 04:56 amYesterday was one of the still few times I've had any reason to use the cart pusher, with no one tending to the lefthand cart bay at that time. Went smoothly at first, but then the machine died on me, no longer responding even after I take the key out and reinsert it multiple times. Brought the key and remote to customer service, and had to go back and forth across several different things someone tried with the batteries, until someone with the other remote came over to help me (even he couldn't).
Robert eventually met up with me, and led me back to the machine. He was able to activate it momentarily, but that wasn't to last, and he went somewhere to do whatever. While awaiting him back, I took to pushing all the remaining carts forward manually, and he came back just moments afterward. I left him to figure out what was wrong with it while going off to check the other cart bay, before taking my lunch break then.
Following an ordeal like that, I went over to the computer room to look into something about badging that Cecilia, the supervisor I've mentioned twice so far, told me about, just to blow off some steam. I saw no such thing on uLearn, and Doreen showed me another program that's supposed to have it, but I ended up spending the rest of my shift reading through other things it had to offer and taking quizzes. (Will probably continue next time things are slow in the parking lot.)

As it turns out, the game's jewel data is stored in a file at the end of a path that cannot be accessed through File Explorer:
AppData/LocalLow/KEMCO/MarenianTavernStory//SaveData
You're supposed to enter %appdata% into a command prompt, which will take you instead to another folder within called Roaming.
Once you find "jewel", though, you can actually change the number there, instead of resetting any other data at all.
(Even that, though, would be rendered moot, if Affonso can reprogram the game to reset jewel and farming data for individual playthroughs instead of governing those from outside of save files, and even apart from that, I do plan for the walkthrough to advise players against abusing it outright.)
