Yesterday, I had a shift scheduled from 11 to 7, so Mom and I watched an episode of Killing Slimes in the morning.

Right when we were getting started, she commented that the events from the first episode reminded her of another show, featuring a maid and a similar art style. My first guess was Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid, which she rejected just a few minutes in, but she said it also involved a boy and his classmates. I then surmised she might've been thinking of Mahoromatic.

This morning, though, I texted her and asked if she might've actually been thinking of Popotan, given that show's cleaner art style like this one's.

Was originally planning to start my real viewing of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime after this show, something I didn't want to put before Goblin Slayer, given the former's much better nature of its own goblins. However, I was already planning to show Popotan in its entirety to Mom (she had only seen the first episode before), and to follow that up directly with another show, so, looks like Reincarnated is going to wait even longer.

Not sure why I didn't just clock out after stopping my end-of-shift alarm while I still had my phone in my hand. Would be one thing if I was in the middle of something work-related (can't leave carts where people drive, for example), but at that moment, I was downing some medicine with my water bottle that I normally bring to the gym (I usually stay hydrated at the fountain). Thankfully, I realized just right after Mom and I left the premises, and it's a good thing she pulled over right upon getting on the expressway even after I declined, because the app gave me a proximity error. We had to make some kind of detour back to the store, and it was already 7:13 when I finally managed to clock out.
