Jun. 13th, 2024 06:42 amMom and I finished watching the main series of Di Gi Charat last night.
-----
All kinds of things have happened at work this past week. I found some Pokemon cards on top of a urinal, brought those to my locker, and had a chance a few days later to give Mom to donate to the library, along with some football cards I found in a cart recently. Someone asked two days ago if where the store stands now used to be a horserace track (Mom confirmed last night). Someone asked me yesterday if I could bring him a water bottle, and I fetched two from a cooler in money services, one each for him and the actual driver. I also wound up working 11 minutes worth of overtime while awaiting a SCAT bus, since Mom had to take Dad for some kind of test.
Also been cutting back on baked goods, since Mom turns out to have made some oatmeal cookies the other day that Dad asked me for a couple of.
Most prominently, though, a week ago, on my way into Bagel Boss, the door swung right open in the wind, bounced back, and the frame pushed right into the back of my hand somehow. It hurt such that I yanked the door back inward upon coming inside, and wound up slamming the tether off the wall. Someone lectured me, asking me who I expect will be paying for such damage to private property, and threatened to call the police if it ever happens again.
After actually having lunch, I spoke to someone else from across the counter. Long story short, she was actually a lot more chill, simply asking me to take a moment to breathe next time I hurt myself like that.
(Having sprained my hand like that, it also hurt to dig into a tub of rather hard ice cream that night, and I had Mom buy me a box of Reese's frozen peanut butter dessert cups (several times larger than a regular peanut butter cup) at Costco the next day or so.)
