Sep. 4th, 2024 05:20 amTwo nights ago, right after I had gone to bed, the Scesnys started shooting some fireworks like those on the 4th of July. I woke up to join Mom and Marie to the end of the driveway for a bit.
I was actually planning then to mention that in yesterday's entry, but was in a bit of a hurry to squeeze everything I did manage to remember within one hour remaining, and somewhat moody, which affected my focus, after having had to tell Mom just to leave me alone (she had yesterday off as well). I only remembered at the end of yesterday's shift, when Marie shared a pic with us on Uguu Blue.

To start with, I woke up a little after 5, decided to do some stuff online while still half-asleep, and expected just to have breakfast, brush my teeth, and get dressed, before coming here to type.
To that end, I decided just to pour myself some Corn Flakes (currently staying in the house while Marie's still here) instead of waiting for Mom to wake up and cook something, only for her to wake up right afterwards. I hadn't poured the milk yet, but wasn't going to pour the cereal back into the jar she's been keeping them in, as if to oblige her to make some pancakes or French toast or whatever. She did cut up some melon chunks and boil some coffee for me, though, which I do appreciate, and I did part of a crossword puzzle while waiting for said coffee to cool down a bit.
Brushed my teeth and applied some deodorant without a hitch. Then, with the weather cooling down for autumn, I put on some jeans I had down here to show Mom (30x34), and while I found them comfortable enough, she said they look too tight, and sent me upstairs to find some 32x34 pairs (none up there, even in any of the wrong drawers upon a second trip).
I also unsealed a protein shake on the counter, before deciding instead to have a yogurt there for some actual protein. Had to run upstairs to bring a few more shakes down, so that I wouldn't be bringing one to work that I realized then might then spill all over even with the cap still on (brought one sealed alongside what turned out to be our last Body Armor for then).
Ended up wearing some shorts instead, but also with a thin sweatshirt that Mom had found, before coming here with what Mom mentioned was just an hour left. Barely after I tuck in does she go on to suggest I do those neck exercises I would mention here soon, I tell her reasonably enough that I will see if I still have time after finishing the entry, she goes on to suggest I make time, and then she comes back a few minutes later to show me another sweatshirt I could wear, and that's when I shut things down with her. (Honestly, that pants issue was not necessary to begin with, and yes, I do get how important it is to do a set of exercises consistently for actual results, but it is not urgent to actually begin, when I already had stuff I didn't want piling up and did not want to rush harder through than I already was).

Last night, Marie and Dad watched this Muppet Show clip starring Ethel Merman. I offered to put another clip on, but they said they were actually in the middle of this movie called It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World and only put that clip on because she starred in said film.
