Recently, I spotted a still-fresh newspaper section at work, and put it in my locker with some stuff already there that I would eventually bring home in a string-bag.

A few days ago, Mom got around to emptying out my bag, and while we have yet to read any of the comics, I did get started on the jumble and crossword. Said Jumble puzzle's cartoon was about billboards, with an answer of 4-2-11. I guessed the third word to be "advertising", but the closest words Mom and I could think up with the remaining letters were "ress up". We ended up looking the actual answer up, which turned out to be "sign up advertisers", and what do you know, even the single words combine with the cartoon's caption to form some kind of story:

Not surprisingly, even though Earthbound technically takes priority over Epic Battle Fantasy 4, I am going to need to put Raymond on hold for a few weeks. I already had to deposit almost $2,000 into Escrow for that new protocol, and he has now gone on to tell me that to implement a miss rate into the stat box (normally shows only Offense and Defense, but here, also shows Guts, Luck, and Speed), in such a way that changes while equipping or dequipping certain weapons would actually be shown, would cost another whole $2,000. Even a seemingly simple change, such as to add the actual fire property to when a Territorial Oak et al bursts into flames, would cost between $2-4K, due to all the unknowns he would be dealing with.

He did say that the more familiar he becomes with the game's inner workings, the less he would have to quote me for each subsequent change. I have also asked Mr. Tenda about how the game actually calls upon stat changes to denote whenever you equip something, but he has yet to get back to me even two days later. (He did take five days once, due to traveling, and even I get asked what's going on on my end whenever I end up taking longer than I expect to start looking over someone's work.)

I expected my life to clear up somewhat when Marie concluded her visit here, so as to allow me to focus sufficiently on both the tasklist and people's work to review, but that went out the window with some new project surrounding our front steps. So far, Mom and I have managed to can most of the branches that I lopped off of the plum tree next thereto, but she also said something about digging a bush out and stuff. All the more reason to put someone on hold, and I will expect compensation for that.

The reason I'm not putting Jonathan on hold instead is because he's moving right along with EBF4, charging me only a few hundred for each change whenever he completes one, and I could really use a holdover product to reinforce why I spend such long hours working a miserable job like what I have. Granted, I would actually play the game all the way through in December, when certain items become available, if the mod gets done by then, but that project, along with however long it takes me to complete both that stairs project and the tasklist, and probably something each for Loc (on Upwork) and Chris (Skyrum Expert on Upwork, currently on Discord) as well, would be a good yardstick to see how much I can save back up before I resume business with Raymond.
