Masato confirmed chapter 123, Convergence, to be the last main chapter ever released in Japan. That leaves China to be what would count if, according to AellopeCF on Reddit (who actually said "the original version"), the main story is in fact moving along there.

It's a good thing that kanji is explicitly derived from Chinese. Even this Medium article suggests that I would already have a head start at least reading it the more kanji I familiarize myself with, and especially after I play the Japanese version, following international, just to get a feel for everything first.

Mom and Aunt Marie spent most of the day at Stonybrook Hospital where Dad's been staying yet again this past week. Marie came back late in the afternoon, and I came down to the house at some point while she was chatting with Brian, who was feeding Maris some Cheerios.

After she finished eating, Brian got out some kind of bicycle for her, with a pair of wheels close together at each end. It has no pedals either, and is supposed to be propelled by basically "rowing" your feet down the floor; Brian put a pair of strap-on shoes on her for traction.

After Mom had mentioned it the other day while I was actually talking to Marie about episode 3 of Lucky Star, I showed Marie episode 1 of A Little Snow Fairy Sugar, which Mom and I have one more main episode to watch but have been too busy to finish off. She commented on the snow in the prologue reminding her of Kanon.

Brian then drove us to Texas Roadhouse. I ordered this steak dish called a Road Kill, topped with melted jack cheese and sauteed mushrooms and onions, and a side each of seasoned rice and apple sauce, along with a glass of blue raspberry lemonade (I probably misremembered where I got that before, and got a glass of blue crush mixed with red raspberry before Brian ordered just the former).

Marie and I brought Brian up to speed on our previous anime discussion at Friendly's. After I described what Nekopara is about, he asked if that's something Emily would like. I explained that while it isn't so chockful as Popotan, it still has its share of adult jokes, courtesy mostly of one particular character. (Not sure why he didn't ask the same about Killing Slimes, which also has a few boob references. If they're few enough for Emily, though, then I wouldn't presume either show any worse for Maris than Who Framed Roger Rabbit?, which Mom showed us kids when we were little despite at least one gag in particular.)

Brian then went on to ask what that show was where a girl supposedly shrinks down and becomes degenerate upon coming home from school. At first, I couldn't help but think of Himouto! Umaru-chan, something I actually wrote off before (save for an OVA) after six episodes, shortly after its lead character indulges in snacks and spoils a dinner she had requested the previous night. Turned out he was actually talking about Nyanko Days, with the character in question actually being the lead human's cats, who always are super-deformed and act childlike.

Ordered a Big Ol' Brownie for dessert. Brian helped himself to a few spoonfuls of the actual brownie, which is topped with a large scoop of vanilla ice cream drizzled in chocolate and caramel syrup.

Drove Marie to the airport after leaving.
