Dec. 11th, 2024 05:24 amMom and I finished watching A Little Snow Fairy Sugar last night.
I went on to show her Nekopara, but she wasn't crazy about that show, between the revealing outfits, Vanilla's creepy gesture towards Chocola during the first main scene, Azuki and Coconut engaging in a catfight, Cinnamon imagining the buildup to a kiss with Maple, and the cats all calling their owners "Master".
Having originally figured that they would have spoken up if they found it inappropriate for Maris, and especially after Brian saw fit to text Marie and Drew about that show the other night, I asked on Uguu Blue if Brian and Emily found it so offensive as Mom did. Emily said she didn't find it too bad personally, but suggested I not show any more of it to Mom, or start showing Marie any of it.
Even Aunt Marie, who planned to take me out to eat somewhere, agreed that such things had rubbed her the wrong way when I had shown her the first two episodes. (She later denied having found anything offensive two episodes in about Killing Slimes, and Mom just texted me as I've been writing this that she didn't either.)

Aunt Marie and I went to Cafe Gia instead of Friendly's last night. I went through my usual routine of picking out some cake first, and then ordering at the main counter. Ordered a slice each of chocolate fudge and Napoleon, so as to let her choose one for herself, before ordering a chicken Ceasar breadbowl salad.
Turned out she had already gone directly to take a seat while I was ordering over the counters, and had a menu on her.
She chose the Napoleon slice to have for dessert, and ordered some baked ziti for her main course. I ordered some pesto angel hair for my own main course, with that salad to have first (even at home, I normally have salad before the main course, not only as a holdover for until Mom's done cooking, but ever since I once found myself too full for that after finishing what I had plated up).
I was already getting kinda full from most of my salad, and stopped short of the bowl itself with some lettuce left over in order to have my pasta. However, both of our pastas were served in much larger bowls than we expected, and we ended up taking most of it home. I barely ate any of mine before eating my cake, but Aunt Marie only had a bite or so of her cake, and we ended up taking that home too.
