Feb. 11th, 2025 06:20 amTurns out yesterday that I had somehow lost the USB signal for my controller some time ago.
Upon looking through the desk drawers upstairs several times, I noticed something in a little ziploc packet that looked similar, and plugged that in. After trying multiple times to get the controller to register the signal and googling for fixes, I gave up for a while, writing it off as "broken" and ordering a pair of new sets on Amazon.
Coming back to it after I had lunch and a nap, I noticed in the instruction pamphlet that some details were actually different. Looked everywhere I would have logically put the device (I'm not even sure why I'd have removed it in the first place), including the downstairs computer desk and this sewing table in my bedroom, both of where I had brought stuff down the other day from the apartment to, and I still couldn't find it.
Told Mom when she came home and asked me what's new, and she sent me back up to the apartment to have one more look while apparently checking a few spots in the house herself. I brought the instructions down to show her what it looks like, and without any familiarity to her, she suggested I order a new one online like I already had.
Combined with a cold I have been down with, I ended up not playing Earthbound Zero like I was supposed to. (I have even received drafts of a couple of pictures, and have not had the spoons to look those over and approve, nor to summarize the points of an Unwilling Service reboot for someone on Discord, that I had listed in a notebook originally for Harkonnen (never heard from since).)

Took shortly thereafter to finally start watching ChäoS;HEAd, which I started up after one look together through the entire apartment desk.
