Apr. 14th, 2025 05:28 amHad yesterday off. Mom asked me if there was anything special I wanted to do.
After getting back to Chris about his next few steps, I decided to have her drive me to the mall.
She herself had to stop at Dick's Sporting Goods, which has its own entrance outdoors, and we noticed this nearby restaurant called Bahama Breeze. That's where I decided to have lunch, and I ordered an Island Snapper (assumed that would be the meat of a snapping turtle) and a (non-alcoholic) Virgin Bahamarita there.
For my snack, I went over to The Cheesecake Factory, and ordered a slice of Oreo Dream Extreme Cheesecake and some coffee.
Looking around in Barnes & Noble, I eventually read volume 1 of In Another World, My Sister Stole My Name, one of the few manga series with its first volume available and without an anime adaptation yet, all the way through before Mom arrived to drive me home, having called her just a few pages in to come get me.
-----
Back home, just when I was about to check my messages on my computer, I noticed a crow in our frontyard, two or three times larger than a normal one, and called Mom to come see it. I got my phone to take a picture, but it had already obscured itself around some trees by the time I got it ready.
