As of yesterday, I've put My Sims, The Sims 2, and Queen of Queens up on Ebay. Marie already has given me permission to sell the two Sims games in question. Also, if I can sell Queen of Queens for the amount that I'm hoping to get off of it, I might just buy some more import games in a lot, each to sell separately for the price I buy them for. (Originally, I would've started an online store, but running a basic one costs $15 per month. I'm not sure if I'll be able to keep up with that.)

I also arranged for Mom to donate Mario Paint, Champions World Class Soccer, NCAA Football, Turok: Dinosaur Hunter, and Bomberman Hero to charity. Originally, I was gonna pawn them off on a site called GamePawn, but I can only make $3 off of them, minus $.50 for missing manuals. Someone tell me, why do people try to sell old games for minimal profit all year round on Ebay, when reposting the auctions costs a tiny fee each time? They only lose money off of it, and if they're that desperate to get rid of the games, they should just give them to the poor. Or better yet, pawn them off at a flea market (which is where the Angry Video Game Nerd claimed to get his Sega 32X for just $2.50). In fact, Uncle Robby once told me that Adam once tried to pawn his Super NES off somewhere, but was advised against it.

Brian had a doctor's appointment yesterday. Not much to say there, but I did have Mom drop off Hare + Guu volume 2 in our mailbox (which I've been meaning to do) as she and Brian left. I later ordered volume 1 of Azumanga Daioh from Netflix.

Brian took the train to New Jersey last night to visit a friend of his. During a cell phone conversation he had with Mom, I overheard that someone committed suicide on the tracks, and the train was delayed for two hours as a result.

Now for some shit about Makeruna! Makendou Z:

For the past few days, even though I am due to receive a video capture device within the next few days, I've been mostly just copying the main script into a notebook. As you would think, it's fucking tedious! Half the dialogue scenes take forever to record, and writing kanji is especially a pain in the ass. If someone agrees to translate the script for me, I'm most likely going to send them footage of the dialogue, instead of text-only copies of it. I'm only copying the script for myself, so that I don't have to be in front of the TV or the computer when I translate it all into English.

Unfortunately, I don't even have half the game documented, let alone translated. Jake is gonna need to know what's going on in the game in order to write the prologue of his version of SMW2: Yoshi's Island rewritten. That means it's gonna be a long time until he's able to write the fic in question, and a fic I desperately want to read for myself at that. But, once I have the entire game recorded, I might give him the option of either seeing the dialogue scenes then and there, or waiting until I subtitle them (different from dubbing them).

So, copying dialogue sucks, having to wait for a fic sucks, and you know what else sucks? The game itself. Honestly, I'm not sure where this is lies in comparison with both Digimon World 3 and Death & Return of Superman. I'm not gonna write an entire review of the game here, but the music is the most notable flaw with this game: Even though the music in FMVs are pretty high quality, the stuff in the gameplay is repetitive, Genesis-quality, and annoying to the point where Brian asks me to have the sound off when I'm playing the game. Exploration is non-existant in some places, and pointless in other places: no pickups, no puzzles, no mazes, just Follow The Yellow Brick Road and fight any random enemies that come your way. It would be interesting to see the Angry Video Game Nerd review this title, but if I'm ever going to donate my game and console to him, it will only happen after I translate every last bit of dialogue, do my fandub, and have everything I write MMZ-related backed up on our hard drive and my flash drive. Besides, he still has yet to review the TurboGrafx-16 (predecessor to the PC-FX), and even though he did list the Famicom Disk System (Japan-only Famicom add-on) among all the consoles he owns, I'm not sure if he's actually willing to review import games.

(As much as the game sucks, though, this doesn't make me any less of a Makendou fan. Mai, Hikari, and Saya are just too cute to let go of. Hell, it's not like Mon Colle Knights didn't suck to any extent either, and I'm still a fan of that series.)
