Do I still want to write MCC?

dmxratedToday, I'm not gonna host any entries from Chroncles of 7th Grade, because I need to write down a lot of shit about Monster Collection Chronicles.
Until yesterday, I've been having an exchange with Chelle about Monster Collection Chronicles. During said exchange, she explained why a whole bunch of ideas integral to the fic will not work, but unfortunately, too much of the plot I thought up depends on those very ideas. However, even before we've had this discussion, I've been asking myself if I even still want to write the ficseries.
To associate Osama bin Laden and the 9/11 attacks with Nickelodeon... that's exactly where the whole thing started. At first, it started as a joke, but as I thought up more and more plot and decided to scrap the comedy aspect, that particular arc evolved into a dead serious horror story. A major point of the ficseries became that, towards the end of the third fic, the Knights would somehow alter history (not by traveling back in time), so that Nickelodeon never existed. Without Nick, 9/11 would never have taken place, the Longwood High School seige would never have taken place, Mon World and Man World wouldn't have been re-separated, the Knights wouldn't have all died inside the Nickelodeon Base to take it out, they'd be able to tackle the non-canon Mech World instead of having to deal with bin Laden and Takeshi Okimichi, and in the future, they would be ready to combat Pfizgiy and take the steps necessary to save civilization.
Well, so much for all those years of plotting. In any case, though, I think my interest in Mon Colle Knights might be waning, which I was hoping wouldn't happen. If I even still want to write any kind of MCK fanfic, I could retain certain elements from MCC, but I would most likely have to start all over again.
So, what kinds of things do (or did) inspire me to keep expanding the plot?
1) RPGs. Especially games like Grandia III and Zone of the Enders: The Fist of Mars, where characters move around in battle, instead of staying in one place the whole time. What any character should do would depend on their position relative to their allies and enemies, and other things like how close they are to dying. For each battle that would take place in MCC, I would first simulate a ZoE battle by drawing a grid on either graph paper or Microsoft Paint, create a whole bunch of letters or other symbols to represent characters or other stuff, and record where they move to. Pretty slow, yes, but might lead to some sequences that I wouldn't be able to think up from scratch.
2) Video game music. Did you check my profile and listen to any of those songs I listed? Whenever I listen to any of them, I get quite an adrenaline rush, and want to create a similar situation in MCC with which to associate the song in question. For example, this one would be quite appropriate if the Knights were inside the Nickelodeon Base, fighting off horde after horde of bin Laden's hellspawn (all of them in their true, scary-looking forms, of course), before fighting the now-mutated bin Laden himself and the Takeshi-piloted Giygaslayer.
3) The idea of having as many Knights as MCC was going to have, each with their own element and their own set of spells or moves. There are a total of 24 of them, and their attacks are not limited to any of the six (or seven) main elements from MCK. There are also elements like Ice, Steel, Wood, Mech, Grass, Gold, Fighting, Night, Thunder, and more. (I know that Mondo and Rockna mainly fought by summoning and merging with Monsters, and that element would still be retained in anything I write.)
Anyway, do I still want to write MCC, despite the flawed logic throughout the ficseries? Do I care to write any MCK fanfiction? Or would I rather just free myself and pursue other things in life? I don't know yet; it depends on whether anything in particular makes me want to still write it. I do have plans for other fanfiction as well, such as Parasitic Trio (my Pokemon ficseries) and Digimon Royale (my Digimon fanfic).
