Today, I was playing Super Mario RPG. Matthew called me to see if I could come over. I said yes, and Mom drove me over there.

When we got there, we watched TV, and he asked me what I wanted to watch. I asked him what he wanted to watch. Soon, I asked him to turn on 29. Celebrity Deathmatch was on. We watched that, and Mom saw it, and she told me she doesn’t want me cursing. After it was over, we played The Raiden Project. We both lost, and then he asked me whether I wanted to play Battle Arena Toshinden or Steel Reign. We played Battle Arena Toshinden first, and then Steel Reign, and I couldn’t beat him in either game.

While we were playing, Dad came over instead of Mom to pick me up. When we got home, I continued playing Super Mario RPG, and I was battling Mack, and I never got anywhere.

This involves using five dice and a penny to decide which commands to use in battle. I played like this because enemies in the game just use random attacks, and I wanted to fight just like them. In other words, "moron vs moron".

During dinner, I asked Dad why white people don’t get their turn to be discriminated against.

“How would you like it if you lived here, and some guy from Cuba came and I had to sell this land to him? Let’s say the government distributes money equally to everyone. There are people who use it wisely, and there are people who waste it,” he told me.

“Somebody wins the lottery, and he doesn’t care how to spend it. He loses it by gambling,” Mom told me.

“Let’s say you get 50 years of summer. What are you gonna do with those 50 years, play Nintendo?” Dad asked me. “Blacks weren’t the only people who got an unfair deal. For example, the Jews of World War II.”

Before I went to bed, Mom and Dad were watching some show on Comedy Central, where some kids complain that there’s no inspection sticker on the buses. I watched part of it. When Dad turned on Channel 14, it turned out that that show was called Meatballs. During the commercial, there was this South Park preview that said something about “Chef’s saltyballs.”

Tonight, I was playing Super Mario RPG again. I was battling Mack again, and I still got nowhere. While I was playing, Mom, Brian, and Marie were watching Dilbert. I watched part of it, and then continued playing the game.

Today during Math, Mrs. B. was writing for me, and she was next to me, and she was singing some song that goes like “Eric, my buddy…Eric, my buddy…Wherever he goes, I go” and then it goes on.

February 24, 1999 (Wednesday)

Today, I was wearing a similar shirt to what Mrs. B. was wearing. It had the same fabric, and one sleeve was yellow, while the other sleeve was blue.

During 2nd and 3rd Periods, we had an assembly, and we watched some play about the Holocaust.

I also remember that we once watched a play version of Oliver Twist, but I don't remember exactly what day that one was held.

During Science, Mrs. B. held out her right arm next to my right arm, and she’s like “We match.” Then she held her left arm by my left arm, and she’s like “We don’t match.”

During Lunch, she asked me to ask Mrs. Miller if there was any homework she was gonna assign today. I asked her, and she said no.

Today, I stayed after school with Ms. Morae for extra help in Math. During extra help, someone had a Game Gear, and he was playing this game called “Roadcop.” While he was playing, one of his friends gave him a pair of headphones, and he put them in, and I couldn’t hear the music anymore.

Correction: The game in question was probably Robocop vs the Terminator. Easy enough mistake to make, though, as the title was half-hidden behind the frame.

When I got home from school, some people were putting another cesspool into our backyard. There were bulldozer tracks in the ground.

Later on, Marie was playing Earthbound. Brian came home, and he saw Marie playing it, and he was criticizing the game. I asked him what’s so bad about Earthbound. He’s like “Everything. Iconized graphics. All the trees look exactly the same.” Soon, Marie got off, and he started playing Mario Paint. Marie was eating a bowl of cereal when Dad came home, and he’s like “You had three hours to get ready for Girl Scouts. So hurry up!”

February 25, 1999 (Thursday)

Today was a snow day. I spent all day in my bed writing schedules for each of the Bible School Kids for a story where they’re all in 5th Grade and the Middle school takes 5th and 6th Grades. While I was in my bed, Marie was in her room crying because she couldn’t go to a birthday party at Laser Kingdom. She’s like “I wanted to go to Laser Kingdom more than Sports Plus.” Mom told her that the reason Ms. Lupfer couldn’t drive her wasn’t because she’s a bad driver, it’s because the roads were slippery with ice. Meanwhile, Dad was getting pissed off having to listen to her cry.

Tonight, Nicole came over.

A while after I came in from wandering outside, I found Brian on my bed. I tried to force him off, and he fought back. I’m like “This is my bed, you fuckhead.” Brian told Dad, and Dad told me to comb my hair. A few minutes later, I played Mortal Kombat Trilogy. I almost got to a letter E, and Brian came in and saw me. We were wrestling with eachother, and he unpaused the game, and I hit him with my cast. Brian told Mom and Dad. Mom told me “Not only can you really hurt someone with that, but you’ve got a broken wrist underneath it.”

Back to the present.

Now that Phyllis no longer lives here, we are now able to use the apartment bathroom to shower off or do other things while Dad continues to work on ours. He took the tiled walls down, and even smashed up the bathtub to make room for a new one. I had to help him out by taking out bags of tile shards. While I was doing that, I cut my shin on one of them. At first, I thought it was just a scratch, but when I noticed the blood, Dad had to clean up the floor, sink, and toilet before I could put my foot in the sink and wash the cut.

Meanwhile, Mom has started to clean up in the apartment. According to her, Phyllis aparently never cleaned up the place, because everything is all dusty and grimy. She also found several six-packs of canned iced tea, which she at first thought were a goodbye gift, but as it turned out, they were unopened since 2001. I later found them in a garbage can by Masem Court, but then brought them to the recycle cans and poured the contents onto the ground.

Yesterday was the first time I went to the underground in Pokemon Diamond. I went there just about every half-hour while I was waiting for night to fall. I got some really cool stuff, including three elemental plates within two sessions.

Y'know, that really makes me wish that Light existed as a type. I know that Psychic is already a direct counterpart to Dark, but Fire is a direct counterpart to both Water and Ice. Light just needs to exist as a type, and it damn well will be in Parasitic Trio. I wouldn't even omit it if Jake was still with me on it and objected to it.
