Chronicles of 7th Grade, week 33
Jul. 26th, 2009 07:02 amNow, back to Co7G. Actually, only two entries to cover. First is on Sunday, when Mom brought me and the other kids to Uncle Robby's house for Grandpa Bob's birthday. Wednesday is the day I beat Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.
April 11, 1999 (Sunday)
Today was Grandpa Bob’s birthday, and Mom took all of us except Dad and Grandma Barbara to Uncle Robby’s house. Grandma Ella, Aunt Allison, Cousins Dennis and Steven, and Cousin Adam were also there. When we got there, Brian gave Cruisin’ World back to Cousin Dennis.
Before we all got our picture taken, I asked Mom if my stuffed animals could also be in the picture. At first, she didn’t want that, but I did convince her into letting me do so.
We went down to the lake to feed the ducks, and I brought Duckbutt with me in my coat pocket. While we were there, Dennis handed me a milk carton to “feed” them, which I did. Me and Dennis also threw a few rocks towards them, though not trying to hit them. When we were leaving, I had Duckbutt’s head sticking out of my coat pocket, and pretended he was saying “I wish I could play with them, but I’m a Kokiri duck.” Mom then came up to me and lectured me for throwing rocks at the ducks.
(The Kokiri are a race of elves in Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. They cannot leave their home, the Kokiri Forest, or else they will die.)
Back at the house, Aunt Allison was reading Adam’s baby book, and noticed something funny about someone named William Jefferson. I asked her if she could give it to me, and read it. While I was reading it, I was laughing so much that I smacked it, and then she confiscated it.
Before we left, we all watched some video of a tour through some house. Mom and Uncle Robby also got the photo album, and showed everyone some pictures that go back to when I was a baby before Brian and Marie were born.
We got back home in time to watch Horatio Hornblower with Dad and Grandma Barbara. I didn’t watch the whole episode this time, though. During the show, me and Mom went into the other room, and I asked her why she had to make such a big deal about that test from six weeks ago. I then went to bed after talking about it for a bit.
Grandma Barbara has to go home tomorrow.
April 14, 1999 (Wednesday)
For the past two days, Ms. Kenzig had been with me. Ms. B. came back today, and told me that she was absent because she didn’t want to aggravate me. After 1st Period, she said that I was doing a good job, but throughout the rest of the day, she was pissed off at me.
On the bus home, I was talking to myself about making Dennis Marino into my slave. Jill, Brittney, Lauren, and some other girl bus came over and asked me what I was talking about. I told them, and Jill’s like “Oh, I know that kid. He’s such an asshole.” Then, Brittney and Lauren started asking me things like “Does the grass talk to you?”, “Do the trees talk to you,” “Does your dog talk to you”, etc.
While I was doing my homework today, Marie asked me and Brian to say “shut up.” Each time either of us would say shut up, she would say “The shut-up machine is out of order; shut up yourself and save a quarter.” Brian’s like “You’ve been saying that stupid rhyme all the way home on the bus.”
I beat Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time tonight. While I was playing it, though, I overheard Mom and Marie talking about the possibility of Dennis moving away. When we started eating dinner, I told everyone that I’d be glad if he did.
Several weeks later, Mom and Dad found out from the busdriver what me and those girls were “talking about.” They told me that they were actually making fun of me because of my habit of talking to myself.
Also, I did once meet Brittany one year after I started this blog.
Today, I'm gonna start over with Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, and play it a little bit each day as the Zelda 64 era progresses.
