My bus going to school came an hour later than it was supposed to. While I was waiting, I received a call from either the busdriver or the bus company (don't know who), and they told me it was running ten minutes late. Don't remember what the busdriver told me happened.

Because the bus was late, though, I was a bit late to my Africa class. However, I already had taken the midterm for that class, and Dr. Walker did allow me to stick around for a few extra minutes to take the notes I had missed.

On the other hand, all I had for my China class was part 1 of the midterm, which I was really able to pull off. It only took a few minutes, and since Dr. Schoenhals allowed anyone who finished up to leave, I was able to call Mom to come pick me up whenever she gets off of work. That meant that I got home an hour earlier than I would normally be getting picked up. Good thing I don't take the bus home on Thursdays.

Here is one less reason to buy a Playstation 3:

What the fuck? The first two Dark Cloud games went out of their way to be anime-style (the second game even more so with its cel-shading gimmick), so why is the third game life-like? I'm not sure if this game even got released in Japan yet, or ever will, but just for being life-like, skrew it either way!

Wanna know what else is guilty of this? The Final Fantasy series. Used to be anime-like, until Squaresoft released VII, its first 3D installment which marked its transition from Nintendo to Sony as a 3rd-party developer. Ever since then, only its handheld spinoffs (starting with Tactics) were made anime-like.

Some might argue Grandia III to be life-like, but if you ask me, I'd say it comes close enough to being anime-like. The facial features do kinda match those of Digimon: Tamers and Getter Love!!, albeit in 3D.

So anyway, up until yesterday, I never really did plan on picking up from where I left off in Dark Cloud 2 or starting over with it. However, along with the fuck-you described above, I found another reason to do the latter:

Monica can wear as little as a bikini! (Gloves, footwear, and hair thing notwithstanding.)

Found out about it in TV Tropes & Idioms' page for Bare Your Midriff. That is so hot! Exactly the reason why I like Makenro from Makeruna! Makendou Z, and why I would like to write Magical Idol Ellen. Even though they're not outright naked (or embarrassed from wearing so little anyway), I don't know that many games where you can make your female playable characters wear so indecently little clothing.

(Oh. Yeah, I have heard of Urusei Yatsura, but I don't know if I'll ever watch that series.)

Anyway, that, along with the Spheda game and having fun recruiting people, is reason enough to forgive all flaws that plague Dark Cloud 2. It sure sucks that you need 65 Medals in order to buy the Panther Ensemble (that's what it's called), which means that you can't have it for half the main game (not to mention that Monica's hair is so long that it obscures her ass). Of course, then again, it would make the most sense for one to wear as little as possible in the aquatic Ocean Roar Cave and the overheated Mount Gundor.
