Feb. 15th, 2010 05:31 amTook my first quiz in Japanese class, after Kenji realized that I already knew some of the basic stuff in the language. There were several mistakes, but considering how well I did with it, he and I agreed that I should put a checkmark next to the stuff I know too well, so that we can skip over it and cover stuff I may have forgotten, so as to finish the workbook before the class ends.
On the way home, Mom and I decided that we should buy bagels from the same place where Vinnie and I used to eat out. She gave me a twenty, and I went in to buy the bagels. After having some left over, I then proceeded to add two bottles of Yoo-hoo and four chocolate chip cookies to the transaction, which I figured I would share with Mom. I told her when I got back in the car, and she got annoyed with me, lecturing me that that was actually Dad's money that I spent, and not to ever do that again. After a few minutes, though, she actually got amused after I had offered to give her the spare change I had and to give Dad some money that was in the jar. She's like "Just can't pass up a bake sale, can you!"
When we got home, Mom asked Dad if he wanted a bagel, and he said that he also went out to buy bagels himself. I had a salt bagel and a half, along with one of the Yoo-hoos I bought. Dad came inside while I was eating, I offered him the extra stuff that I bought, he started laughing rather than getting annoyed, and Mom told him what happened.
