Had an appointment with Dr. Mattimoe yesterday, due to some on-and-off pains I've been feeling on my chest for a while. When he got around to examining me, I guided his hand around wherever he needed to put it (something I usually do with his stethoscope). Because of this, this is probably the first time I ever let someone touch my chest. After he was done, he told Mom that what I've got isn't something to be nearly as concerned about as breast cancer (which I'm fully aware men are also susceptible to).

Didn't put up much of a fuss either, when another several doctors began to draw blood samples.

Okay, so I might have overreacted when I ranted about Pokemon Black and White the other day. So, here's a follow-up to that rant:

I should note that I do remember feeling the same way once about Dark Cloud 2 that I recently started feeling about the upcoming Pokemon games. There was the lack of backfloors (which Dark Cloud had), and then there was also the fact that the keys were always held by the same enemy on any given floor (unlike in Dark Cloud, where it was completely random). However, once I started playing it (more than a year after getting it for my birthday in 2007), I really got into it.

On a similar note, Earthbound Zero is also worth mentioning, particularly with its lack of onscreen, avoidable enemies. Earthbound and Mother 3 are generally more similar to each other than EB0 is to either of them. And this could be a reverse of the Pokemon series' situation, given that it was the first game in this series to be particularly different from both of its sequels.

Anyway, I think I might ask for either version of the game for my birthday after all. No point really gypping myself of any events that might take place after its release, especially during a time when I'm not making any money, and especially when the only other thing I'll likely ask for (and get as well) would be an anime DVD set.

Some people online have praised the idea of TMs being re-usable, saying that they found it tedious to sort through all their Pokemon to decide which ones will learn which TMs. Well, to this day, even when you can carry as many TMs as you find, I still tend to pass up TMs anyway unless I roll a double-5 for either the TM in question or any Pokemon I catch later on. In RBY, this is particularly important, because you only have one inventory section (with limited space) and a limited amount of storage space in your PC. However, even today, it makes things more convenient when you have less to sort through (if a Pokemon wins something I already have), and for anything I don't have, I get to revisit a place to collect it.

Another thing: Supposedly, there's not going to be a VS seeker in the games. Even though this was also true with Gens I and II, this would potentially defeat any purpose of migrating Pokemon from the Gen IV games. In Pearl, seeking rematches was exactly how I made use of any Pokemon I migrated or captured after the Elite Four. So, to counteract this, I'll probably save as many Trainers to battle for after the Elite Four as possible. There are plenty of Trainers that you can only battle until a certain point anyway, such as Gym Trainers and members of Team whatever, and even past them, you don't even have a choice with certain other trainers.

Anyway, it only took a few days to play through roughly three-quarters of Makeruna! Makendou Z a second time. Once I'm done with that game, I'm probably going to settle down and start a new game with Pokemon Diamond. Drawing anything can wait until later.
