Grandpa Bob went back home yesterday.

Last night, while we were eating dinner, Marie talked to the rest of us about going to Friendly's for ice cream. Dad told us that he and Mom went there at Niagara Falls recently (presumably on their anniversary), and the experience wasn't that great. (I also remember going there every so often with my whole family when we were kids, and according to Dad, it wasn't even that great back then.)

After we finished eating and clearing everything up, me and Brian decided to go with Marie, while Mom and Dad chose to stay home.

As soon as we left the driveway, we noticed some kind of small, shaggy dog (a Maltese terrier, I think), and Brian and Marie assumed it was Diane's dog next door. The two of them tried to round it up, but it only ran down Long Island Avenue to the intersection. Marie called Dad on her cell phone, and told us that Dad was irritated and told her just to go to Friendly's.

So, we went there, and after looking on the menu, I ordered a Forbidden Fudge Lava Cake Sundae. I remember having that at Bennigans during an ACLD trip four years ago, but somehow, it wasn't as great this time as I remember it being back then.

So, while I didn't say much during our time there, I did hear Brian and Marie say something about someone putting some kind of photo with the words "Mushrooms are waning" on their Facebook page. One of them said that they were apparently talking in their sleep when they said it, and Marie said she could hear me say "I see" while we were both sleeping the previous night. I don't usually talk to myself when I'm asleep, though, and "I see" is only something I say when I'm actually talking to someone else, so she assumed I might have been dreaming while I said it.

Speaking of dreaming, she also asked me if I had one. Well, I could remember a whole lot of it immediately afterwards, but at that point, all I remembered was the opening themes for Lucky Star and the Angry Video Game Nerd being merged together as if they were one show.

(I did remember another part of said dream afterwards, but didn't bring it up. Thankfully, it was only Tsukasa, and only for one second, but I'd advise you not to read the following cut: Her, wearing one of those brown Mexican leather coats with the frills, while starting to dance an Irish stepdance.

Cue shocked expression.

Y'know, I've noticed before on YouTube, a version of the Lucky Star intro sequence, which has the girls wearing biker outfits. THAT would have been preferable! I mean, not by much; it's still inappropriate, but at least the ethnic factor is removed.

Though, seeing as dreams are just mish-mashes of reality, I think the Irate Gamer might have also been involved, and the above stuff would be a reference to the following lines to his Did Not Do The Research page:

** He also believes Mexico has Taco Bell on every corner. The only time Taco Bell was introduced in Mexico it failed miserably.
** In "Ireland", the two end the sketch by dancing to Irish Folk music. Rather, they're dancing to Scottish Folk music (you can clearly hear bagpipes). He couldn't find an Irish Folk song?

But, back on topic, nothing left to note about our Friendly's stay. Mom seems to think, though, that I also got a lava cake sometime when we ate out at Applebee's, but the aforementioned ACLD trip was the only time I remember ever ordering one. She also asked me if I noticed what Brian and Marie got (no I didn't) or if I talked much to them, or if I was too busy eating. I told her I don't pay attention to every detail of what goes on around me, and she suggested getting me Dating For Dummies, since this was kind of a social thing.
