Dec. 20th, 2010 07:32 amMom and I baked cookies with red, white, and green mint-flavored M&M's yesterday. Marie came home after I baked the second-to-last batch, and by then, there was only enough for half a batch without M&M's.

Two funny things:
We wish you a Reagan Christmas
We wish you a Reagan Christmas
We wish you a Reagan Christmas
Higher taxes next year!
From a Sunday strip from Bloom County, in which Opus, Portnoy, Hodgepodge, and one of the boys (don't remember who) went to people's doors and sang Christmas carols with political lyrics. Don't think I'll be able to find it online, but you can find it in Opus: 25 Years of His Sunday Best. I sung the re-lyricked song in response to Marie opening a Christmas card that sings Merry Christmas.
And...
How to Make Friends and Influence Bats
A strip from Penny Arcade, parodying something from La Pucelle Tactics for the Playstation 2. In response to Marie showing Mom this book called How to Make Friends and Influence People. (Mom told me that that might be a good book for me to read, while it was brought up.)

We forgot all about that episode of 60 Minutes that Marie linked to an article about, until 15 minutes before it was over. However, we should be able to rewatch it on 60minutesovertime.com.
During the commercial, Marie tried asking me what happened on several dates in 2006 and 2010, as well as on June 10, 2001, but I told her all three times that I had long since stopped keeping track of dates at those points. From what Mom gathered, though, it's probably a good thing that I gave up on it and moved on, because the only upside to being a savant like the people who appeared would be for research about stuff.

As of this morning, I have completed the main game in Pokemon Ranger: Shadows of Almia. All that's left to do now is to Liberate the Tower, and then I can move on to other stuff.
As for my Action Replay, if it works, I'm not sure if I'm gonna actually unlock the Riolu mission on Shadows of Almia. That Pokemon is obtainable on Diamond, Platinum, and HeartGold, so likely, it would've just been a bonus if it was already on the game card when I bought it.
