dmxratedWatched the last main episode of Lucky Star last night. And to think, it took me a year and a half to watch the whole main series (not counting the OAV). Around the same time I started watching Kanon, which I still have yet to finish (I never actually watched any of disk 6 of that series when I rented it more than a year ago).
If you clicked the hyperlink above, you'll notice that I said at the time that the first episode's ending theme was the best part of said episode. But, hey, I wasted little time starting to actually enjoy the series itself.
While I was watching, Mom commented that they're the same girls that I have on my recently downloaded laptop wallpaper. She uses it, but whenever I decide to use it (usually when Dad's on our main PC), I tend to click out of everything she had up from a while beforehand, so that I can see the girls for a few seconds.
Can't say that I remember everything that happened in the series, but there are some scenes that I like to watch over every now and then. Here's my top five:
5) Nothing but silence as Yutaka listens to her iPod, starts swaying back and forth, and then "Pittan, lala Mojipittan!" Cue embarrassing comment from Konata.

4) Who gets to eat Miyuki's last chicken nugget? Konata decides to choose through a staring contest, only to have her friends crack up at her as she stares vacantly.

3) Sleeping till noon takes real skill. Tsukasa must be an expert at it!

1) Konata comes home extremely late, with her Dad already pissed off about how late she is. A Christmas gift is enough to make him feel all better, and then some, turning it into a potential Crowning Moment of Heartwarming... which instead becomes a Crowning Moment of Funny when Yui burst in all drunk and wobbly. Just, epic!

So far, I'm still waiting for the redrawn Lucky Star sketch from TiagoSkateboarding (the DeviantArt member that wanted 8,000 points for a colored pic), but he did clear up that he has school on weekends and promised to get started on Monday (today).
But to wrap it up, here's something you could do for fun: Watch/Play any other High School series, movie, game, etc., such as Daria, The OC, Mean Girls, High School Musical, Persona 4, Azumanga Daioh, Getter Love!! (if you know Japanese), Boston Public, or even Kanon (which was also made by Kyoto Animation). Note how the teenagers interact with one another in whatever you watch (or play), and then compare it to THIS!
