Successes and failures
Mar. 27th, 2011 06:09 amChip-chan Kick: Failed. The folder containing the .bin file is unextractable even on this computer. But, I've asked ROMhacking.net member Filler where he gets his PC-FX ISOs. Still have yet to hear back from him.
Winzip: Success. Managed to extract that thing Jake sent me, so now I can attempt to translate it whenever I get around to it.
Java applet: Success, in a way. Brian actually showed me a website that doesn't require you to install anything, and I used that to download Honmanimou's clip.

Pokemon Ranger: Guardian Signs: Failure. Agreed to take care of it with Brian after dinner. First, though, applying the screen guard is easy enough, but getting the sticker off of it is a pain. On top of that, scratches on the screen guard are even more noticeable than on the screen itself. Well, at least I have some extra styli and several screen cleaners to bundle with one of my DS's if I decide to sell one of them.
Now for the game itself: Well, at least nothing takes an endless number of loops to capture this time. Took two shots at it. The first time, Brian got killed; the second time, he ran into some Pokemon that were taking too long to capture. At the rate we were going at, we would've already run out of time probably even before reaching Deoxys.
Mom suggested that I could play with myself, but I told her that missions are timed in that part of the game. On second thought, though, maybe I will do just that and play all the regular missions. Main reason I didn't do it before was because I only had one DS. (Not to mention that I'm already getting bored of Mario Party, and still have yet to receive the Lucky Star pic.)
