All set to go
May. 24th, 2011 06:47 amGot nearly everything I plan on taking upstate this coming Friday packed into my backpack and into several plastic bins. For the record, I'm planning on taking my:
Nintendo 64, w/ all multi-player games except for Getter Love!! Marie was the one who suggested I bring Mario Party for us to all play, and I thought I might as well bring some other games in case anyone's interested, since we now have four controllers for the system. Coming up though is a better time than any to be physically away from GL, so that I'm not tempted to play it while I'm still doing ReadJapaneseFast.
Xbox, w/ Whacked!, which is still in the console. To hook it up just to take the game out would be redundant, but I actually intend to play Castlevania: Curse of Darkness and Red Ninja: End of Honor with Brian around while we're out of town. As it turns out when I emailed him, he happened to have those two games with him up in Ithaca for a while (possibly right after I got them for Christmas two and a half years ago, since I had no actual interest of my own to play them).
Wii, w/ Super Smash Bros. Melee (GCN) and Wii Sports. At this point, I think it's a good time to give Mario Party 2 (VC) a rest.
Game Boy Advance, w/ all five Pokemon games and both e-Readers. Even if the Nintendo DS is compatible with an e-Reader, you still have to link the Reader directly to a second GBA, which is what Brian has.
Nintendo DS, w/ Pokemon Diamond and White, the latter in case any wi-fi events are announced to take place while we're upstate. Diamond is probably what I'm gonna be playing for now (if anything) when I'm not reading ReadJapaneseFast.
DVD player, w/ Pani Poni Dash, in case I feel like watching anything while we're upstate. I am aware that I'm probably not going to be able to with everyone around, and I haven't lately felt like watching anything anyway. (I had already sent back D.N. Angel and .Hack: Legend of the Twilight some weeks ago, after watching only one and two episodes respectively.) Grandma Barbara did tell me a while ago that Cousin David also has a bunch of anime DVDs that he's willing to let me have, and I'm looking forward to seeing what they are, even if none of them turn out to be of interest to me.
And yeah, I've packed some other stuff to bring as well. My laptop was among them, but Mom uses it for stuff like Facebook and looking up recipes, so it doesn't really have to live in my bag for nearly a whole week. We'll likely remember to bring it.
