Sep. 26th, 2011 07:33 amMy parents and I headed home at about 1 P.M. yesterday. Was hoping the whole time that we'd be home at a decent hour, but we got home half before ten.
Early on during the ride home, Mom showed me this newspaper article that Brian found, about a software company called Aspiritech which specializes in hiring autistic people regardless of any traits that might make them otherwise unemployable.
At some point, Mom wanted to eat dinner at some seafood restaurant. We found two of them in Delaware, but they didn't exactly look promising. So, instead, we ate out at this burger bar called The Dog House, where I ordered a meatball hero and a cookie. Dad asked me where cookies were on the menu, and I told him that they were in some plastic case near the entrance, priced for 80 cents apiece.
Should've brought this legal pad that Grandma gave me the previous day, which had since been sitting right by my bed. I brought it up with Mom while we were eating, and she gave me a sheet of scrap paper once we got in the car. I guess maybe that's even better, because it was still more than enough to jot down what came to mind before I became tired.
So, even though it turns out that we had planned to leave Virginia yesterday rather than today like I previously thought, Mom is still having the day off from work today.
