Dec. 24th, 2011 06:21 amTwo days ago, I was walking around on the driveway when someone from UPS came with two packages. I went up to him to take them the rest of the way to the house, and one of them was addressed to Bobby. (The other one was for Marie.) Right then, I noticed Bobby getting into his car, and gave him the former package to bring upstairs.
Mom asked me if I knew who I was giving it to. I told her that I assumed it was Bobby, even though the package said "John Shortle". She then told me that that's actually his real name, but we call him Bobby because John is also his father's name.

Brian asked if I have iChat on my laptop yesterday, even though he's right here at home with is. I hadn't been aware of it, but it turns out that I actually do have it. He showed it to me, but I somehow ended up using AIM instead.
At that time, my old friend Martin just so happened to be signed on, and I decided to have a convo with him. He told me that the Internet had been a bit screwy for him up until yesterday. Other than that, he didn't have a whole lot to talk about, but I told him about my upcoming Lucky Star fic, and sent him the outline after the convo ended.
Also occurred to me to give him a free llama badge on DeviantArt. As it turns out, he was just one short of receiving the 800th llama I have given to anyone. (That prize ended up going to elsapenguin.)

Played through everything that's been added to Angry Birds Chrome over the past few days. Even though the Chrome version doesn't have nearly as much content as in other versions, there are currently two promotional mini-episodes exclusive to it, one for Wonderful Pistachios and the other for Tyrkisk Peber Volcano. The latter of those seems to be only available in Scandinavia (especially since the info for it is in Finnish by default), and all you get in specially-marked bags are codes for individual levels.
On the other hand, Wonderful Pistachios is also offering the chance to win money or prizes. Along with some notebook dividers that I was also looking for, I hoped to get some bags of those at both Target and Staples when Brian drove me and Marie there yesterday afternoon. Staples had them, but they weren't marked. (Was hoping to keep it a surprise, until I had to specify right before we left Target, but without any marked bags, it's probably a moot point anyway.)
At some point, I am planning to play the downloadable Windows version of Angry Birds (provided that Vista can run all the same stuff as XP). However, that should probably wait for a bit. Jake wants me to translate at least one line from a webpage for him, Chelle wants me to summarize the plot of the fourth volume of the Mon Colle Knights manga, and Cameron (or Lance, as he told me his real name is) has pointed out that I've been neglecting my half of the MMZ translation project while he got at least a few bits of dialogue translated. Not sure when I'll actually get around to any of that. Right now, I'm thinking of starting over (again) with Japanese in Mangaland volume 2.
