Went with Dad to the shop for a few hours yesterday morning to sweep and vacuum up. Not much worth nothing there.

Dad finally replaced our bathroom sink yesterday, with one that doesn't drip. The water pressure is also considerably higher.

While I have been aware of Yutaka and Minami's implied lesbian romance in Lucky Star, the same implications between Konata and Kagami had somehow escaped me, and I thought the whole time that it was just fanon whenever it comes up in fanfiction.

Just yesterday, Starbound had received its first comment on DeviantArt, in which the person leaving it stated that it would be awkward for the two of them to kiss with their hair updone. I replied that not only were the hairstyles one of the two core points behind the fic, but I didn't even plan on having any particular pairings between anyone (although Konata's antics towards Kagami would still be present). As he showed me, though, the two of them are both very much homosexual.

After reading what he showed me, I told him I would then keep the romantic implications that the anime had, and also changed a line that Kagami says after Konata states her opinion in their new hairstyles.

By the way, Ryan028 is actually the second person to bring up the issue. Someone with the username Kagamoe also asked if that pairing would be present. I previously told her that there weren't gonna be any pairings.

(Even with the pairing, nothing is going to be conclusive. I don't even plan on pairing Davì with anyone in particular, and in fact, would like to let anyone writing a fansequel to decide who to pair him up with, even if he be with one of the two. In fact, he is the main reason no romantic loose ends are going to be tied up at any point in the fic.)

Found out about this game called Starbound on Radiation's Facebook page. He mentioned on June 16 half a year ago that he and someone else were working the game's soundtrack. I left a comment telling him about my Lucky Star fic of the same title, and I probably should contact Chucklefish himself, the person behind the actual game, about that as well, just to see if he reacts.

(Actually, I was planning on getting in touch with Radiation after I beat both of his Earthbound hacks. At that point, the first thing I would show him would've been my recent entry about the canon Earthbound trilogy. This is just too much of a coincidence to miss out on, though.)

In any case, here's the homepage for it, now that I actually looked for and found it:

Right now, I'm glad I haven't played any Mega Man games in a while. A translation patch has come out for Rockman 7: Shukumei no Taiketsu, and as it turns out, there were cutscenes that were deleted from Mega Man 7. Whenever I do get back to playing the games again (i.e. whenever it is that I continue with Kanji in Context), this will be the only game I play the ROM of, even though it is available on the Mega Man Anniversary Collection.

-----

Today is the 20th anniversary of Makeruna! Makendou. Gonna download the ROM today and try to actually beat it once and for all. Forget Wonder Project J2; however many days it takes to complete M!M will determine how many lessons I tackle in KiC, after I also beat Radiation's EB hacks.

If these two are romantically inclined towards each other this badly in canon already, then it's highly unlikely for them to go through life threatening situations that they don't know they'll survive without even just considering confessing. They'll be out of their natural environment and forced into a far more versatile life that will force them to realize all sorts of things about themselves, personal weaknesses, strengths, opinions they didn't realize they had and the nature of their attachments. Also, Konata seems to treat this all like a video game, why would she pass up all the chances for "flags" that'll happen during the story?

Also, real world factors, like your presumption on the fic's popularity and how you want that popularity to be expressed, should not be relevant to how these characters act in the story. Recursive Fanfiction is rather rare even for large fandoms, and right now the story doesn't even have faves or followers; talking as if it's so plausible that recursive fanfic will happen risks making you appear arrogant, which is if anything likely to turn away an audience rather than attract it. Tone it down a bit.

I didn't say she considered all life a game, I was referring to the relationship milestones that she uses the word flag as a metaphor for. I was trying to say that with how Konata is aware a relationship is building, she seems to approach this particular thing in game logic, and she's about to enter a story that plays out like an actual game (she'd totally geek out over this, I suppose).

Kinda having a better mood than I expected right now, actually.
