Sep. 29th, 2013 07:34 amUncle Robby came over yesterday, and brought a box of different kinds of muffins. We all had parts of a few, except for Brian, who was having a nap.
He, Mom, Dad, and Grandma went out fishing somewhere for a short while. Rob and Grandma left shortly after they all came back.

Was re-reading volume 3 of Lucky Star yesterday, and there's a strip in which Kagami asks Konata for permission to use her computer. The strip continues with her reading some stuff that Konata had typed up, and then asking to have a word with her about it.

How that strip starts out is something that also happens during the first chapter of Starbound. The first scene in that fic was inspired both by several of the earliest strips in volume 5 and Ayano's special page in volume 6. Therefore, if the strip in question actually stood out in any way, or if I actually re-read it at any point before actually starting the fic, I would have surely tried to think of a way to implement the whole thing during the scene at Konata's house.
Do understand, though, that it was only a month after I even conceived Starbound that I got the first eight volumes of the Lucky Star manga for Christmas two years ago. I had no idea how the first chapter would've played out at all at the time, especially since I didn't initially plan on giving Rokuna from Mon Colle Knights any part in it. Furthermore, it wasn't even until half a year later, when we all went to Boston for Marie's college graduation ceremony, that I even read past the beginning of volume 5. The two parts that inspired the first scene in the fic only did so because the girls in question all said something about their hair, which is what one of the two main points behind the fic is about.
(Since the other main point behind the fic is to create something resembling an Earthbound game, Rokuna should at some point mention how fit she stays by eating garlic, something which Lier X. Agerate tells you if you talk to him on your first trip up the hill. It is her favorite ingredient in any kind of food applicable, after all.)
