dmxratedCashed a winning QuickDraw ticket in at Stop 'n' Shop yesterday for $1 while doing some actual shopping there. And just in time for a bank trip that Mom and I have agreed on for tomorrow.
This was right after our workout for the day. Normally, I wouldn't have brought the ticket with me, because I didn't want to risk forgetting I even had it and then having it go through the wash. Borrowing Mom's debit card would ensure that that doesn't happen.
The reason I'm mentioning this, is because of several main concerns as to why I make a point of not playing the lottery when the gym is included in any errands we run:
1) I would like not to lose control over it.
2) I would also like not to feel my wallet when I sit down on any of the weight machines.
3) I would prefer not to buy a ticket, only to forget about it and have it go through the wash. There are times when I pick up loose change, only to forget I even had done so (and those also carry a risk of falling out of my pocket).
So, my wallet only comes if I need it for other things. And even then, only if it isn't practical enough to separate whatever tasks it pertains to and the gym into two separate trips.
