Started re-hosting The Loss of Innocence, and managed to upload four chapters so far. As much as I need to resolve my remaining trauma from Cries Unheard, I'm still out of steam for that, and I think around a week would be in order before I come back to that. Today, I need to go over my Starbound outline and update that to present to someone on Freelancer, and I also have a new Cibus chapter to look over.

In the meantime, here is one of a few Starbound drabbles that either were scrapped or probably will not make it into the actual fic, this one set after Davì joins the party, when they all decide to eat breakfast out somewhere. (Would bring this up w/ Jake beforehand, if he and I were still friends.)

"May I take your orders?" asked a waitress.

"Some chocolate chip pancakes and a side of bacon, and Sukita," requested Davì.

"Some scrambled eggs, a hamsteak, and cranberry juice!" requested Rokuna, sitting across from him.

As the others ordered, Rokuna, along with Maria at the boy's side, could both sense him feeling a bit tense but not wanting to rain on her parade.

"What's the matter?" asked Rokuna.

"I guess I should've told you this before, but... I'm not allergic or anything, but even the sight or smell of eggs offends me. My family already makes a point of not ordering those whenever we eat out."

"Err..." said Rokuna, noticing that the waitress was gone, before facing down the table. "Guys, did anyone here
not order eggs by any chance?"

"What about that?" asked Kagami.

"Our new friend here says he can't even sit next to or across from someone having those."

"I get not being able to eat something, but even being near them?" asked Konata.

"Actually, Minegishi has that problem too," said Kagami at the opposite end. "I mean, she's okay with them as ingredients, but this one time our school hallways smelled like them for some reason, she totally had to hold her nose shut. It wasn't even the rotten kind. Anyway, I ordered a Belgian waffle, so you can trade orders with me if you want."

"Thanks, Gami-chan!" said Rokuna. "You've just saved us the trouble of getting up just to trade spots."

And, when Robin joins, things will be slightly easier still, since she can't even eat due to being mechanized instead of organic.

Not sure how likely I am to apply this to the actual fic, since I would like everyone to be able to eat any given thing in the game adaptation equally, just to keep things simple with a total of eleven human PCs.

And, just to be clear, I myself am not that averse to eggs. I simply don't like how they taste, having even tried them again just recently for the first time since childhood.
