Aug. 14th, 2020 07:03 amHad a thunderstorm that knocked the wi-fi out three nights ago. Normally, that would've been fixed within several hours, but it turned out the following day that our entire area was missing wi-fi. Mom told me during some errands we ran, that some people had still been out of power since that hurricane earlier on.
Brian was still able to connect to the Internet through his phone service, so I was able to come up and catch up on Wanikani and then put that on hiatus earlier that first day.
During dinner, Brian came down and looked at those Rocko DVDs Mom got him for Christmas of '05, and found a disk of some drum solos and such. Our parents considered watching that on my DVD player, but it wouldn't start up even when Mom and I tried to see what was wrong, and neither did a Popeye disk that I went on to test on it before I mentioned how poorly I was able to get Lucky Star to display between that particular player and TV set before. Dad considered looking into a new player altogether for such times as this.
Everything came up and running again midday yesterday.
For lunch, Brian invited me to come visit Emily at her parents' house, who were also taking care of Maggie's baby Kayleigh (I think that was her name), to have some pizza and garlic knots that we stopped at La Marguerita for.
