dmxratedBrian relayed to me that someone pointed out that someone else is already working on Getter Love!! It was the same person I spoke to before, and I pointed not only that out, but also that while he said back in October that it was supposedly picking up again, he completely ignored me two months later when I asked for his transcript to work with if he was still unable to get the ball rolling again.
In any case, I did mention that the Earthbound trilogy still takes priority over that game, and with three people who previously maintained tight communication with me having now petered out, that should be where I focus my time and money for now.
He agreed last night over the phone to help me learn how to hack ROMs myself, something he says has become much easier now than it was around fifteen years ago, when he comes over next week. At the rate things are going, I decided I might as well agree to that.
With that, I am going to get the ball rolling once and for all with my walkthroughs, starting with Super Mario RPG (the one game I have no plans for a hack of), so that I'm not in a rush later to get them done before October while still trying to learn how to hack them first. Then, when Brian is here, I would like to focus on Earthbound Zero, the only game that actually needs a ROMhack to link to from its walkthrough (the base game is just barely conducive to randomization). (Good thing the original NES is one of the easiest systems to hack ROMs for, and that my contractor for that game had already sent me a copy with three changes in place that I had asked for.)
