dmxratedWhen we were on the plane leaving Long Island, Mom noticed that this inlet on the beach, connecting the ocean to a bay, had closed up.
Yesterday, she and I went for a walk there, all the way to said inlet, further than we had ever walked before, and found it to be just a trickle.
After arriving back home, Mom looked up the distance we walked from the parking lot and back, and it turned out to be three miles.
