Apr. 9th, 2007 06:46 amUncle Robby and Grandpa Bob were the only two people who visited us for Easter this year, along with their dog Seuss. Cousin Adam was at his mother's house for the holiday. Marie did have her friend Scott over, though.
Yesterday, Marie was frying a Peep bunny in the microwave, and me, Mom, and Scott watched it expand. We then microwaved a chick, and even got Grandpa to watch with us. Marie hoped that it would explode, but it never did. Marie tried eating the bunny, but it didn't taste very good to her. I didn't bother eating the chick because Mom told me it could give me a stomachache.
Now for some brief about my petition:
I advertised my petition in the Senntient.com forums (a place where people talk about Sonic Xtreme and its successor Project S). However, a fellow member named Nitrosoxide told me that not only will it most likely fail, but Sega needs less additional characters for the Sonic series and more character development. In fact, various existing female characters have already taken up the role that Tiara would have, and even my new friend Zerodius agrees, although he's not a member of the forum.
Something tells me that both these people are right, about how requesting Tiara in a Sonic game is akin to asking for more and more cute girls. But then again, I wasn't requesting just more girl characters, I was requesting someone in particular. I find it wasteful that someone in Sega came up with such a character as Tiara in the first place, and then just because Sonic Xtreme gets cancelled, everyone else in Sega decides to do away with her.
(Sometimes, I just feel as if including Tiara in The Furrysitter's Club, my future novelization of Sonic the Hedgehog 2, and creating Tiara-based ROM hacks isn't enough. For example, I would've appreciated "seeing" her in another Sonic fic titled Power Corrupts.
Moving on, if anything else bothered me, it's that Chris Senn (who's in charge of Project S) asked me to remove the link to the Sonic Xtreme Compendium but I was unable to do so. Upon entering the Project S forum, I found out about Cease & Desist orders, in which game companies can give legal orders to stop making fangames based on existing copyrighted games. Squaresoft owns the copyright to Chrono Trigger, and issued a C&D order when its people found out about a 3D remake of CT. If Sega finds the Sonic Xtreme Compendium, they might find Project S, which could in turn elicit an order against it, and it would be my fault.
I did tell Chris that I was unable to foresee this, and there was nothing I could do to remove the link. This morning, he forgave me and even told me that he read it himself that PetitionOnline doesn't offer the option to edit petitions. So now, case closed.
