Sep. 19th, 2024 07:08 amDuring out stop at Lombardi's those few weeks ago, I noticed just as we were leaving, five flavors of gelato in trays that the proprietor is supposed to scoop from. Mom told me that there is another location in Holbrook, and agreed to bring me there next trip to Costco that becomes feasible (whenever she's not going directly there from work, usually to pick up an urgent prescription for Dad).
Two days ago, after some flip-flopping since the day or so prior as to whether that would be feasible or not (in case she'd even have time around a doctor's appointment), I came with her, but she ended up not dropping me off there because it was too far out of the way of her errand loop for that day. Suffice to say, I didn't bring a protein shake to have with a cookie, before she told me she couldn't go there, but she did agree to let me take one from a new box before I'd go over to the food court, even though it wouldn't be cold. At the last minute, she mentioned that she would like to browse Savers first, and I decided just to have a chocolate/vanilla swirl sundae instead.
The only other errand she had to run was to pick up a book at the library. Leaving Costco, she had me dial the library up, was told that it would be in until Friday, and ended up just going back home.
With the menu still up, though, I did tap for Brian, and then Marie, who ended up answering. Brian called us back shortly in, and we put Marie on hold to tell him we'd call him back (we seemingly forgot). Not used to simultaneous calls in the car (only directly on her phone), Mom ended up hanging up on Marie before calling her back.

Yesterday, I came with Mom to the library, and saw three new anime titles there for the first time in years, but not what I was actually looking for. Good thing we still have another whole disk left of A Little Snow Fairy Sugar.
Also stopped at Savers halfway back home. I went over to Stop & Shop to get that lotto ticket, and sure enough, it was there, but machines only accept cash. Barring an in-person transaction or a cancellation, this will probably have to wait until I run low enough on singles to bother withdrawing some twenties to break one of those for.
Coming back to Savers, I found volume 1 of Tokyo Mew Mew a la Mode, which Mom let me put on her card. Will need volumes 6 and 7 of the original series for Christmas this year in order to bridge the gap.
