Yesterday's shift was for 7 to 11:30. For a yearly sale, it was actually easier than most regular days. El, a recent hire, had already filled the entrance I'm in charge of, and even had seven or eight more lines of carts outside the gate, leaving me just to look for individual carts for most of the day.

This being a corporate holiday, some food was also served in the morning, but I was already full from breakfast at home. Being a short day for me, I only had one fifteen, which I took at 9:15, the halfway point, and there were only some leftovers left in the break room. Didn't wish to waste time microwaving anything until I got it to just the right temperature, so I decided just to place an order at Starbucks.

A fresh batch of food was being served at the end of my shift, but not only was I already full from my own lunch, but I would not have wanted to keep Brian waiting in his car while I eat.

Hopefully, next year will be more conducive for me to grab a free breakfast or lunch.

While playing with Maris outside yesterday afternoon, Brian and Emily came upstairs at some point to give her a bath. I asked if they would be interested in another episode, and Brian asked to start seeing Nekopara.

The opening song being frenetic as it is after a calm opening line, Brian asked me if that was what was playing on my phone the other morning. Actually, that was another battle theme from Blue Reflection, Hope and Hallucination (couldn't find any actual battles before that play it). I did mention my new ringtone being similarly fast-paced, and he argued that ringtones should generally be more calm.

I meant to show them just one episode, but wound up letting the end credits run while I used the bathroom. This being on YouTube, the show started playing the next episode automatically a few seconds before I came back, and we watched half of that before Brian decided to return outside while the sun was still out.
