Yesterday was Dad's last day in the hospital for this visit. While Mom left to tend to him, Aunt Marie stayed home for three things she was expecting and had to be present to receive. This also meant that I had to take an already scheduled bus over to work (for a short shift in the afternoon).

The first and most prominent item delivered to us was a special kind of bed for in the porch. That came at some point before I left for work.

Aunt Marie baked some Russian teacakes at some point. I had a few of those with some tea when they were done.

An hour before my bus arrived, I asked her if she'd like to watch anything. She said she wasn't expecting anything to be delivered at that time and could likely afford to go up into the apartment, but I then suggested we watch something downstairs where we were, with my parents both out.

We watched episode 3 of Lucky Star, since that's readily available on YouTube (no need for my laptop or DVD player). I asked her afterwards if she's starting to like it, and she specified an appreciation of the cultural aspects she has gotten to learn about so far.

-----

Arrived at work 17 minutes early, and decided to order a berry trio parfait (strawberries, yogurt, and granola) at Starbucks for some protein, along with this drink called Elphaba's Cold Brew (matcha, peppermint syrup, and colored sprinkles; there's also Glinda's Pink Potion, which is strawberry-flavored with dragonfruits and sprinkles). Sure enough, my drink was ready when I arrived, but I spent the next few minutes waiting for that parfait, before asking about that and being told that it was sold out. An empty bag was pointed out to me to have been sitting there, which I thought would be redundant for something already crafted in a cup, but someone did refund me and update the app.

-----

The remaining two parcels arrived while I was at work, and Mom called me to cancel my ride home. Good thing, because at 6:20, a team lead came out and asked me to have the cart bay full before I clock out, lest I get written up.

I filled Mom in when she arrived, and wound up staying 15 minutes overtime to gather some carts outside the gate after filling the entrance itself up (she had some shopping to do anyway).

-----

Brian had come back by the time we got home.

For dinner, Mom and I decided to grab a pizza at La Margherita, since I didn't have anything of an actual dinner during my one fifteen.

And we now have enough coupons for a free plain pie.

Aunt Marie had also baked some lemon-iced cookies while I was at work. I had a couple of those for dessert.

-----

Brian brought Marie and Drew over from the airport some time after I had gone off to bed. Brian is sleeping down in the house, and Marie and Drew are occupying the loft.
