dmxratedBrian drove Mom to East Moriches yesterday to pick up Dad's ashes, and me and Marie came with them. As we drove over, Mom explained things to us about Dad's life, such as what he and his friends did back in high school, his departure and eventual return to Long Island, how he regrouped with his old friends upon returning, and how she would first meet him back when he was digging clams a while before he opened up Fine Line Custom Cabinets.
Brian stayed in the car when we arrived at the funeral home, while Marie and I came inside with Mom.

Yesterday was Marie's last day visiting us, and she came along when Brian drove me to work.

Brian, Emily, and Maris were watching Spirited Away, the movie I saw with Matthew back on April 16, 2003, by the time I came home from work.
Judging by Emily's lack of a reaction to Haku getting lacerated at one point, I suppose Release the Spyce might not be such a poor show of choice to show her and Maris.
As for Marie's question from the night before, as per the movie itself, Chihiro's hair color is not my favorite shade of brown, being more in line with Hanna's et al.
(On that note, though, Shiori's from Kanon also sort of matches theirs, but I do also have a thing for sisters (particularly from both same parents, two to said parents, and at least a year apart; two years is best). While Kaori isn't quite there with Saga either, the fact that they're both brown at all does combine with such criteria to make them a couple of my favorite brownies regardless.)
