dmxratedMom took yesterday off from work due to a blood appointment I had for in the morning. Having not supposed to have had anything to eat beforehand, we went afterwards to this diner called Buttermilk's Kitchen.
Ordered myself some Samoa pancakes (after the girl scout cookie, not Samoan cuisine), a side of ham, and a raspberry white chocolate latte. From my encouragement from beforehand, Mom got this dish called The Traitor, consisting of two poached eggs on buttermilk biscuits with grilled ham and hollandaise sauce, with a side of hashbrowns that she shared half of with me.
Such a filling breakfast at around 8 left us too full to bother having lunch later.

Mom drove me to someone's house in Remsenberg to pick up some drawer cabinets and a tabletop that someone was giving away in order to move out, to bring later up to the apartment when we get around to bringing my original desk down. Driving the pickup to bring everything home in, we had to make two trips there.
The wood was green and lined with grooves of some kind. Mom explained to me that it's called pecky cypress, host to some kind of fungus that makes it resistant to insects.
For now, everything has been stored inside the garage and boathouse. Brian is supposed to come home tonight, and Mom says that he might be able to help sort it further out.
