Aug. 21st, 2005 07:15 amRecently, I've been taking advantage of the games that Aunt Marie and Uncle Ray own, but they haven't been holding my interest much (and neither was Sonic 3 and Knuckles, which I downloaded recently). Yesterday, I played the 1P challenge in Bust-a-Move, and got somewhere around level 45, having used only two credits, but I was getting bored of the game by then.
Mom called yesterday for the first time to check up on us. While I was on the phone with her, I told her I was going to borrow one of David's anime DVDs, but his house was locked. She suggested I leave a note on his door. I wrote one, but when I asked Grandma for some tape, I told her exactly what I was doing. She told me that she saw David's car already pull in, so I might just have to knock.
I borrowed volume 1 of Excel Saga, but needed help from Aunt Marie as to how to work her DVD player. I watched the first two episodes before being invited to play Ginasta. Let me tell you, that's some good humor for a Japanese show, unlike Mon Colle Knights or Ai Yori Aoshi. In fact, one signer of my petition described MCK as "the Excel Saga of kids' anime." David also suggested I give FLCL a try, since it's even more random than ES.
After a few games of ginasta, Aunt Marie suggested that we go for a night swim in the pool. We all went, except for David (who's hydrophobic and wasn't playing) and Uncle Ray. Too bad it was already past 8:00 P.M. at the time; I would've suggested we all watch Family Guy together. But hey; it's on tonight on Fox.
