dmxratedYesterday during breakfast, Brian offered Mom a latte, and I chimed in and asked for one as well. Mom got hers, but then Brian sat down, but instructed me how to make one. Turns out it's mostly heated froth on top of just a little bit of actual coffee, or something like that.
I then mentioned that, while I do skip macchiatos and mochas due to their sugar content, I usually rotate which drink I do order whenever I decide to have lunch at Starbucks or Bagel Boss, but never really noticed a difference between drinks. Brian explained that a latte or macchiato, for instance, is nothing here like what you'd normally find in a shotglass in Italy, and that most drinks on a Starbucks menu or such wield only superficial differences between one another.

Shortly before Mom and I headed back home, Brian took us for lunch to this place nearby called Fael's Breakfast & Lunch (Emily was asleep with Maris). I got a pastrami sandwich and some coffee.
Shortly before we left, I went to the restroom not for the first time to blow my nose, but someone was in there for what seemed like five minutes. I instead went outside to a nearby receptacle (could've brought my napkin with me, since I was already done eating, instead of using a tissue up from a pack I brought), and Mom commented when I came back inside that she thought I was hopping over to Dairy Queen next door to grab some ice cream. (I did grab a McFlurry at a rest area on our way home, when she had to fuel the car up.)

Mom and I arrived back home at around 6:30 last night.
