dmxratedMom brought me to a clinic in Coram to see Dr. D'Amara, whom we had previously seen in Centerreach about my toes, to have a look at my ankle. (Turns out she is retiring in two weeks.)
She gave me a better ankle brace and suggested I start wearing some kind of shoes even in the house (normally in just my socks there; we have decided upon my slippers).
She also gave me a note for Walmart that I should not be working more than four hours a day for these next two weeks.
We drove to Walmart to let Doreen know, but she told me that they do not take doctor's notes, and gave me a phone number to call instead. (Also turns out that someone named Elizabeth, whom she told me to speak to if my hours are not adjusted on time today, will be replacing Renee as my coach.)
