May. 25th, 2007 07:20 amMe and Mom had a lot of places to go yesterday.
First, I was supposed to hitch a bus ride to Stonybrook Hospital at 12:00 noon, but it came forty minutes early. The busdriver told me that she had to drop someone else off on my street, and gave me the option of waiting or just leaving the house. I chose to just go right to the hospital, especially since I had already turned off the computer and locked the front door.
When I got to the hospital, me and Mom left not more than ten minutes later. We still had time to kill before an appointment with Dr. Perret, and Mom dropped me off at Borders while she went to Macy's.
At Borders: I read this months issues of Sonic the Hedgehog, Sonic X, and Sabrina the Teenage Witch. No, this isn't the same cartoon version of StTW as on Nickelodeon. In fact, the characters in it are all drawn manga-style, which is why I gave it a read for the first time. Then, I read the second half of Negima, volume 1, and finished it.
Next stop: Dr. Perret's office. We still had some time to kill, so Mom suggested we stop by at Ralph's Italian Ices, but I declined. While we were in the waiting room, some mother and son were sitting across from us, and I told the mother that her child looked a lot like Matthew when he was twelve. She told me that he exactly was that age, but his name was Peter. Also, Juliet now works there. She was here to speak to someone else in the lobby, but I remember seeing her at least two sessions ago. If anything's special about that, it's that she was the person who used to run Group Sessions at some hospital, which is also where I first met Matthew.
As for what I discussed with Dr. Perret... well, it's complicated and I don't feel like writing about it. Just something that Dad got mad over concerning my attitude last Monday about sanding the catboat. However, when we left the office, Mom told me that Dr. Perret suggested that I take a summer class even though I already graduated. The rationale is that I can't spend my summer vacation doing nothing but reading fanfiction and taking multiple naps a day, even though I am doing various house chores. It's not good for my brain, and I still have yet to get back to refining my HTML skills.
After leaving the office, Mom had to take me to Patchogue, mainly to help Dad unload things from his van into the workshop. However, Dad insisted that he could manage that on his own, and Brian decided to come home with us. We then went for haircuts as long as we were still in the same town. Mom, however, decided to skip it this trip, because by the time she really needs one, she's going to be passing it again anyway. Well, I'm glad I chose to spend time getting mine, so that I don't have to come with her when that time comes.
Finally, we went to Target to get milk, juice, and toothpaste. Nothing quite special there.
