dmxratedBecause of the high percentage of accounts created for spam purposes and the low numbers of accounts created for legitimate site participation from some countries, we have been forced to block access to the account creation page for internet connections coming from those countries. If your internet connection is located in one of those countries, you will not be able to create a Dreamwidth account. We apologize for the inconvenience, but spam accounts and inauthentic accounts take up entirely too much of our administrative time and resources, and we need to be aggressive in blocking them.
The current restricted countries are: Bangladesh, Cambodia, Egypt, India, Indonesia, Morocco, Pakistan, Singapore, Turkey, and Vietnam. We review the countries affected by the spam blocking restrictions regularly and may add or remove countries as necessary.

It has been a while since I have had anything for Loc, who lives in Vietnam, to program (for that matter, it's been a few weeks since I have last heard from Mr. Pedal about any places I need players to go). Two days ago, I thought I might send him a link to my entry from the other day, so as to update him on what's been going on on my end.
Yesterday, he reported a 403 error, and I tried sending him an alternate link. At work, before my actual shift, is where I found out about such anti-spam measures as described in this site's account FAQ, and I soon asked him if he has access to YouTube to start with, and then LiveJournal, Tumblr, deviantArt, and Reddit. Yes on all counts, and I agreed to copy everything to Reddit today, which will likely benefit me as well in more than a few ways. (Not gonna bother copying previous entries anywhere that I had hyperlinked in turn to, although I will re-hyperlink to those.)
