Yesterday at work, I found a soda that I thought was abandoned in an otherwise empty cart, and poured the contents out upon hopping onto a nearby motorcart so that it wouldn't weigh the bin's bag for plastic down unnecessarily. The actual buyer was still there, and confronted me (politely) upon spotting the bottle in the basket, telling me she was wondering where her drink went. I apologized and explained things to her, and decided to reimburse her $2 out of a tip from the other day. (The remaining dollar later became a tip at Southpaw.)

During the ride home, we spotted a group of motorcyclists cross the road at an intersection where we had stopped (and again when we arrived home). Mom asked me about this one time I shouted something along the lines of "Biker gang!", and specified when I asked that I must've been around seven (actually eight).

It was during the summer of '94, when we were riding home from Grandma Barbara's on what was the only trip there that Dad did not come with us despite it being his childhood family we were visiting, although we did bring this kid Joel with us, who used to come visit every now and then. A group of bikers passed us in the direction we were heading, and I shouted "Those guys are Biker Mice from Mars!", to which Joel responded "They're biker men."

I was referring to a show I had just seen a commercial of days earlier, one of various cartoons at the time riding off the success of Ninja Turtles, about a trio of anthropomorphic mice styled after the Hell's Angels.

None of us kids actually watched it, but I eventually did play a rental of the SNES game for a few minutes with Dennis Marino, three days after Christmas of '97. (Wasn't surprised to see the Konami logo upon bootup.)
