Nov. 4th, 2025 06:08 amMom normally arrives home at 1:30 unless she has errands to run that she normally tells me about. Yesterday, I found myself home by myself until around 4:30, invested in my walkthrough, until I couldn't help but wonder if anything happened. Texted and called her, and she actually said she'd be home in two minutes.
She explained that she had stopped at the Lupfers' to pick up some meatloaf that Nancy had put together, and wound up chatting with her for the next few hours until I contacted her.
By that point, said meatloaf, which wasn't actually cooked yet (should've asked for the details), would've taken too long to cook then, and she decided simply to reheat some chili instead.
Shortly thereafter, she told me that, confirmedly in response to her mentioning me quitting my current job, Nancy had mentioned some people in Daniel's extended family hold positions in the IRS, and suggested that I look into applying for a job there. She agreed to guide me through that at some point, but also asked later if I would be willing to postpone an already late Christmas get-together with Marie and Drew if I get hired there (I declined).
