I forgot to mention that two days ago, Grandma Ella called while Mom and Dad were in Patchogue. I told her that Dad appreciates the card she sent him, even though he's not a Peanuts fan. When I hung up the phone, Marie told me that it was rather mean to tell her that Dad's not a Peanuts fan. She told Mom and Dad about it when they got home, but they didn't get mad. They did tell me, though, that it's the sentiment that counts.

Yesterday while I was riding the bus, the busdriver had to pick someone else up before dropping me off at bowling. I noticed that this person carried a McDonald's visor and wore a red McDonald's uniform and a "Vicki" nameplate. I told her about my experiences at McDonald's, and asked her how long she's been working there. She said she's had the job there for three or four years, and also says that she doesn't hate it nearly as much as I did. Maybe she doesn't love her job, but I used to loathe going there every single weekend. She asked me why I left, and I told her that it was because I got a better job at my college campus. Not surprisingly, this person happens to work at the same place where I used to work.

Tyler never did show up for bowling yesterday. This is the first time someone on my bowling team has been absent, although I was late twice before and had to either bowl my own game or have my name inserted mid-game. When we were finished, I noticed the bus was already in the parking lot, which was a little more than half an hour before the appointed time. The busdriver told me that I still had that amount of time before I needed to board the bus, but I told him I was finished.

Among other things, two items that came in the mail for me in particular were a paycheck from workstudy and a Game Boy Advance plug which I ordered from Ebay. I have yet to open the package containing the plug, but I drove to the bank to deposit my check when Mom came home. While I was there, I also took out $40 worth of singles (for bus fare and bowling games) and an additional $2.50 in quarters (in case I have a chance to play Target: Terror).

I also received two items in the mail which were intended for different people at different addresses. One was a postcard aimed at Laura Peterson, and the other item was an envelope for Irmgard Schlaf. I'm on my way right now to put these back in my mailbox so that the mailman picks them up today.
