Mom gave me permission yesterday to set up a same-day interview at Lowe's for 5:30 during my primary application sweep for each morning.

Someone later messaged me about a position at Metro Physical & Aquatic Therapy for "front desk coordinator". I discovered that two hours later, but she got right back to me after I replied, and told me I could expect to hear back soon from her hiring manager. Emailed Mom to ask what time to set that up for, or if that should wait until she returns from her trip; she suggested the latter, and I texted Maggie back accordingly but never heard anything back.

The other day, I sent Jonathan my ccscript to recompile, and a savestate from my brunette-hack playthrough to rename after the recompiled hack, to test Threed for that flag glitch from two years ago. Said savestate is from after I had saved in the drugstore in Winters, since Jeff's flight to Threed is where someone on Discord specified before where flag 214 is supposed to set and then unset. I only instructed him to enter the circus tent and talk to the red-clad man inside, but he somehow ended up doing that only after defeating Boogey Tent, planting the Zombie Paper, and spending a night at the hotel. Contradicting the correct situation at that point and even the preceding cutscene, all six NPCs were still inside the tent awaiting the zombies, instead of four of them outside the entrance, and there were no zombies sprawled on the floor.

He managed to isolate the custom files in the ccscript folder, and showed me a screenshot of the correct script restored for before you even obtain the Zombie Paper, before resuming work on Star Ocean.

After having lost momentum this past weekend with the Earthbound hack, I decided just to recompile the current changes early, and modify the next brunette-hack savestate (back inside Threed Sunset Hotel). Sure enough, that one NPC was speaking the correct line in his script, and I also verified the correct circumstances for after the extermination cutscene; this implies that nothing roots further back than that one flag failure that caused some kind of chain reaction for the game's overall script. However, the most prominent change I originally requested of Mr. Tenda for that part of the game was the presence of zombies throughout town in gameplay; I did not see any of those even when I went on to check the cemetery for any out-of-place enemies, which does rule out any custom files I had reinstated in the ccscript folder to contain his original data for that, and the possibility of double-modifying any enemy-spawning tiles through Earthbound Map Editor. On the other hand, this also implies that that script issue might have been present even in Orbay's work from two years earlier (here's when I first posted for that).

Today, I should probably compare the current build to the vanilla game on HxD, to see where the flag's code fails to appear, or else ask on Discord what is supposed to call upon it that somehow fails in the hack.

Where I was getting an interview would have been a good time for Mom to shop for additional supplies for after we'd plant three holly trees along our driveway, after already using some stuff up for some pine trees near Long Island Avenue. Combining what we had with the original soil I dug out, though, we instead wound up with two bags of manure left over.

Over an early dinner for before my interview, Mom spoke to me about that position someone messaged me about, and why she does not think I would be all too happy to work as a receptionist (not the first time she tried talking me out of that). As it turns out, the place in question is exactly where she has lately been going for therapy for her back.
