Nov. 27th, 2007 06:45 amUpon looking at that website explaining the differences between Kendo Rage and Makeruna Makendou yesterday, I've noticed that the Hikari depicted on the original box art has the exact same design as in the game, but with a different color scheme. Even though she's a brunette both there and in Makeruna Makendou Z, it turned out that she was redesigned intentionally for MMZ.
After waking up from my afterschool nap yesterday, I tried sending an email to the author of the aforementioned website, regarding what Josephine's actual original name was, but it turns out that the email address in question is defunct. I was going to send another email to the author of this pic, but that person's email address isn't available. Oh well.
I went to the library with Mom and Marie, and got a book on Java, another book about the Chunnel, and four MAD magazines. I looked through some Nintendo Power, GamePro, and Electronic Gaming Monthly magazines as well. The latter two were to see if there were any new anime games on the GameCube, the Wii, the Playstation 2, or the PS3. However, all the anime games I saw throughout those magazines (as well as in NP) were for either the Game Boy Advance or the Nintendo DS.
As for Nintendo Power, it turns out that everyone else who participated in the Memories of Nintendo Power thread was right: NP has pretty much become a pile of shit. I looked through two NP issues while we were at the library, and didn't find a single walkthrough in either of them. When I got home, I sent an email to noapulse@aol.com asking why that magazine degenerated from what it used to be.
Even Wikipedia acknowledges the fact that NP has far fewer walkthroughs than it used to have. Upon looking up that webpage, I read that Future U.S. bought the rights to the magazine, which would really explain something. If you sell something you owned the copyrights to, whoever buys it has a right to do as they please with it.
