Mom and I took the Christmas tree down yesterday. The Christmas lights on the house are still up, though, and so is Jingle Town (my name for the Christmas village, after the third course in Snowboard Kids 2).

Last night, all of us except for Marie watched some episodes of Popeye, but we also watched some special episode. Actually, the "special episode" was more like a ten-minute commercial. Some kid picks up a copy of a Popeye comic book, and then gets bullied by another kid. Popeye comes out of the book, and shows the kid just some of the things he can do with his newfound strength after he eats a can of spinach. The next day, the kid stuffs his mouth full of spinach, becomes super strong, confronts the bully, and punches him up into the air and through a window, and sings the famous Popeye song, all in that cartoonish Popeye-fashion.

After that episode, Brian and Dad then watched some documentary on the DVD about how cartoons and characters like Popeye, Koko the Clown, Betty Boop, and Felix the Cat originate. I, on the other hand, had a Pokemon to catch that only comes out after 8 P.M. in Pokemon Pearl. Too bad I rolled a double-5 before I could catch it. In my rules, that means one of the following:

-a Pokemon evolves each time it levels up, if it's ready to do so but still has moves worth learning in its current state.
-I teach a Pokemon a TM or HM, if it's right after I capture one.
-I teach a TM or an HM to a Pokemon, if it's the first time I come across it. Otherwise, I just leave it alone.
-I stop looking for Pokemon in a given area, if there even are Pokemon there that I don't have yet, and just move on with the game.

We were all up until nearly 11 P.M. At 10:24, I asked Mom if I should call Uncle Robby and Cousin Adam to see if Adam has Pokemon Diamond or Pearl. She said it was kinda late, and Adam would be sleeping, but I could try to call Robby. I got through to Robby and asked if Adam has a Nintendo DS, and he said that he does, except that it's at Aunt Dawn's house, Dawn is out of town, and Adam was sleeping at a friend's house. As to whether he has Pokemon Diamond or Pearl, he doesn't know, but either way, I won't be able to trade any Pokemon with him during today's trip to New Jersey. Oh well, not like I even have any Pokemon worth trading yet, especially if his version is also Pearl. We will also be visiting them again on Robby's birthday, which is on February, so that might be a better opportunity, if Adam even has either version of Pokemon on the Nintendo DS.
